It might not be the newest or prettiest game on this list, but the vibe and experience hasn’t been replicated by anything before or since, even its own sequels. I tried to create a balanced experience overall and made sure I was tackling just as many side quests and hunting collectibles as I was unravelling the tangled tale. That really helped in unlocking some of the more power abilities and unique suits to use throughout the story missions but also contributed to my time with the game feeling like a complete experience.
Kraven And The Hunters Make New York Their Jungle
Unfortunately, Shocker is one of Kraven’s victims, and among the first characters to die at Kraven the Hunter’s hands. While it is unclear if the games will follow this route, the introduction of Cindy does tease the potential for yet another Spidey to join the fight. When she first meets Peter in the comics, he notes that while she is not as strong as him, she is faster. She also has the power to shoot webs out of her hands and a stronger variation of Peter’s Spidey Sense, known as Silk Sense. Other than these small differences, she possesses the exact same powers as Peter Parker’s Spider-Man. That’s a great shame for PC players, who are still holding out hope for a port of the title in the near future.

These tables prove just how many kidnappings Kraven and his Hunters were able to get away with after they attacked R.A.F.T. During the fight for his life, Mac Gargan was able to land a blow on Kraven with his tail, which should’ve implemented his infamous poison. But, Kraven always prepares for his hunts and has already worked on an antidote. Kraven kills Scorpion right then and there, ending the entire fight fairly quickly.
Like the first two games, the true star of Spider-Man 2 is its story. It finally gives us the chance to jump between playing as either Peter or Miles as the two work together to protect New York City from Kraven, a fierce warrior looking to transform the city into his hunting ground. Their personal lives don’t fare any less stressful–Peter and Miles are both stuck, struggling to figure out what’s next for them.
