While I was somewhat late to the PlayStation 5 party, as I only got mine back in February, I pretty much took to the Demon’s Souls remake straight away. I played the original game a great deal on the PlayStation 3, so I was fascinated to see how the remake would be handled. I even took time to stop and appreciate the fidelity of the flowing sewage in the game’s notoriously gross Valley of Defilement. This game does not suffer from any negative points in its kind, and if the only drawback of the main game was the animations and some graphics, now they have become the strength of the game. 777X resurrects a game that could have easily become a historical footnote overshadowed by its more popular successors.
In the Demon’s Souls remake the camera was positioned a bit closer to the character, which resulted in a lot of pre-release concern by gamers who felt it could damage the overall experience. One of the most important parts of the guide is a complete walkthrough description, divided into separate areas. One cool fact about this build is that it does not require any spells, yet it easily takes out waves of enemies. These daggers are for players who want to get in and out of combat and rely on their dex to help them overcome the damage disadvantage. Demon’s Souls has a lot of weapons with varying abilities and means of attack. Each weapon has its own attack style and, thanks to Bluepoint Games’ work on FromSoftware’s original game, has unique animations. A lot of weapons can be obtained early on, more so if a player happens to have pre-ordered the game. Finally, for any Demon’s Souls player who remembers the laborious grind of tracking down that elusive Pure Bladestone to secure the game’s platinum trophy, Moore says players of the remake won’t suffer as much.

Even if there really are zero PC plans right now, that could always change. The Nvidia leak above was the first evidence that Demon’s Souls may actually be coming to PC, and so far it’s had a very good track record. In September 2021, a list of games in Nvidia’s GeForce Now database leaked, seemingly revealing a pile of yet-to-be-announced games, including many from Sony. Nvidia claimed the games on the list were purely speculative, but since September at least 10 games from the list have been revealed. This can prevent your character from ever getting overwhelmed by enemy groups, especially as you are still trying to build up your character’s health. Repeated attacks will also allow you to plow past an enemy’s guard, albeit at a significant stamina cost. The Dragon Bone Smasher can be found just after entering the Demon’s Souls Dragon God boss arena, but it requires pure white World Tendency to find. This weapon also gives you slightly more protection against fire damage, making it almost like another piece of armor. This will help you make it through certain levels with a lot of enemies that use fire, such as the Flamelurker boss encountered in the game.

The difficulty of the game in this remake version is still very high and we are on the side of a very difficult game. It is true that it is still very difficult, but it no longer has the sometimes cowardly difficulty of the original version. BluePoint Games has already shown great prowess in remaking games, and with a title like Shadow de Colossus, it has proven to be a studio that has a lot to say.
Most weapons must also be upgraded to level 6 to be available for transforming with a boss soul, however, some of them do not require improvements (such as the baton). A much more interesting solution for using the boss’s soul is the ability to transfer this soul to a special weapon. However, in order to do this, you must first meet Blacksmith Ed, who is located in the Stonefang tunnel – Smithing grounds (region 2-1). With him will you be able to create weapons from the souls of the bosses. However, in order for Ed to craft them for you, you must first defeat the Flamelurker boss, who is located in region 2-2.
Demon’s Souls remake was released at the PS5’s launch in November 2020. Players can level up using collected souls via the Maiden in Black character in the Nexus. This is unlocked after defeating the first boss of Boletaria Palace.
