Despite a couple of new tricks up its sleeve, Spider-Man 2’s combat is very familiar – it doesn’t have that new suit smell anymore, but it still feels incredibly comfy to slip back into. The rhythm of precision dodges, the new perfect parries (so you’re not only swerving and striking now), and acrobatic finishers are hugely satisfying, as is chasing high-hit combos to keep the fight as stylish as possible. The movement is smooth and the hits are crunching, like some sort of peanut butter hybrid that every one of your foes is allergic to. Every bone in their body may be broken and every organ punctured, but of course, they’ll somehow live to commit crimes again.
Marvel’s New York will naturally be hiding lots of enigmatic and rewarding secrets in its streets and skylines, but one thing which has been given a Super Hero glow-up are the suits you can unlock for Miles and Peter. Enter the addition of Brooklyn and Queens, which nearly doubles the size of the city and offers even more familiar locations that are important to both Spider-Men. Fans can expect to spot places like Brooklyn Visions Academy, Midtown High School, and Aunt May’s house, where Peter is living presently. While there are moments where the narrative will require you to control either Miles or Peter during specific scenes, there are also times when you can switch between the two on a whim. The choice is yours on how you want to use their specific powers to take on certain activities and crimes.
The GPU requirements inch ever forward, up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX as a minimum, which will get you 1440p at 60fps. However, the situation gets decisively more powerful when we look at the requirements for playing with high or ultimate ray tracing enabled. For Spider-Man 2 high ray tracing specs, you’ll need a GPU architecture upgrade, where only an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT will do. Despite being a PS5 port, the Spider-Man 2 system requirements can ask a lot of your gaming PC, especially if you want to play at 4K with ray tracing enabled. Given that Insomniac and Nixxes Software have released two other Spider-Man games on PC, fans are concerned as both of the previous releases have seen system requirements shared long before the official launch. At the center of the plot are the relationships of the heroes with characters from their surroundings, against the backdrop of typical superhero routine and important socio-social issues. The multilayered narrative spans a long period of game time, allowing for the inclusion of many events and characters at the expense of depth in their development. The story contains a number of unexpected twists, is very engaging, and boasts acting performances, full Russian dubbing, and a high level of scene direction, cinematographic and spectacular. There will also be plenty of impressions from encounters with supervillains. The anticipation for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 paid off as a fantastic sequel to an already-great game, and this title quickly became one of the most beloved PlayStation titles of all time.

It’s a simple enough comic book story that soon mutates further when a parasitic hunk of black goo takes a liking to Peter. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is available to PC players on January 30, 2025 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Developed by Nixxes, this version offers PC-enhanced features to Insomniac’s game, including new ray tracing options, upscaling, ultra-widescreen support, and more. Here’s everything you need to know about Spider-Man 2’s PC differences, upgrades, and specs.

That fidelity takes a minor hit in Performance mode, which dials back the glam for a steadier framerate, which would normally be the preferred method for a game that requires a certain level of speed. If you’ve got that, you probably know, and it makes for one of the most technologically astonishing experiences in modern gaming. And it’s here where Insomniac shows its true strength as developers. At times, that sprawling story can feel bloated, especially coming off of Morales’ lean solo adventure. Miles and Peter (who players can instantly switch between at just about any time) don’t just come with their own character arcs, but the casts of their respective games too. Each story mission stacks more characters and villains into a sweeping story that wobbles like a Jenga tower early on.
On the whole it’s a tried and true set-up for a Spider-Man story—the perils of leading a double life, making sacrifices to do the right thing, all that jazz. But that does also mean it’s a story we’ve seen an awful lot of times before, not only across films, TV, and comics, but also in the previous two games in this series. This refreshes the gameplay nicely, as both Spiders can be seen not as superheroes and mighty fighters, but as ordinary citizens performing mundane tasks. And to observe tải go88 on their faces and expressions in dialogues, usually hidden behind a mask.
The initial trailer gave us a look at Peter Parker and Miles Morales in action together, with Venom joining the fight at the very end. During PlayStation’s September 2023 State of Play, Insomniac showcased a closer look at Marvel’s New York. Senior Creative Director Bryan Intihar noted that this version of New York is nearly twice the size of the original game, thanks to the addition of the Queens and Brooklyn boroughs.
Originally released on PlayStation 5 in October 2023, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the third game in the series, pairing together the protagonists from both previous entries (Peter Parker and Miles Morales) as they take on Venom and Kraven. The PC version of Spider-Man 2 is out tomorrow for Steam and Epic Games Store, but the radio silence around its system requirements had prompted confusion about what to expect from the port — and what machines could even run it. Building on top of the classic web-swinging fun that the previous two games delivered, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 introduces the ability to glide using Web Wings. But they aren’t just a flashy addition from the comics and movies – they entirely change how you navigate around Marvel’s New York. That’s especially helpful considering Spider-Man 2’s map is twice as big as its predecessors thanks to a newly explorable slice of Queens and Brooklyn (one that has a hilarious idea of where Coney Island is located). While those areas don’t change much about the game’s flows (there are just shorter buildings to zip past), they do offer some nice visual variety by peppering in parks and small slices of suburbia on the edges of town. It’s an incredible power fantasy — one that Insomniac self-reflexively deconstructs. The system takes a troubling turn when Peter gets his black suit and is granted a host of Symbiote-infused skills. Black tendrils burst out of his body, piercing everyone in the vicinity. Another turns him into a raging ball of goo that slams his victims into a wall.
